The U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center unit patch—technically called the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia- Military Operations in Hostile Conditions (SSI-MOCH) and previously known as Shoulder Sleeve Insignia-Former Wartime Service (SSI-FWTS) —was originally approved for the U.S. Army Acquisition Executive support Agency on 3 December 1998 and was redesignated for the Acquisition Support Center on 1 October 2002.
Black white, and yellow are the colors of the emblem of the U.S. Army Acquisition Corps. Inside the triangle-shaped hexagon are the Greek letters “Alpha” and “Omega,” equivalent to the English A and Z and which symbolize the complex and constant acquisition mission and process.
Use the selection box to choose either a style of patch. The color patch is worn on the current Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the old Army Green uniform which became obsolete in 2015. The ACU version comes in two types, OCP and UCP, that are named after the type of camouflage pattern used for the wearer’s ACU, Operational Camouflage Pattern and Uniform Camouflage Pattern, respectively.
