A Disaster Response Force is the structure at an Air Force installation that is tasked with responding to accidents, incidents, and/or disasters. Personnel assigned to a unit or team within the Disaster Response Force must complete the Air Force Emergency Management Program (EMP), a one-time requirement that serves as the foundation for subsequent specialized training. It usually includes a Command Post, Incident Commander, First and Emergency Responders, a Crisis Action Team, Emergency Communications Center, Emergency Operations Center, Unit Control Centers, Emergency Support Functions, Specialized Support/Recovery Teams, a Recovery Operations Chief, and a Senior Military Representative.
