Just as with the buckle worn on Honor Guard ceremonial or black belt, the two belt keepers are to be highly polished and chromed at all times.
Keepers are positioned one on each side of the buckle before the blousing process begins, pulling excess material from the front of the blouse to the back and then, once the front and sides are flat and smooth, folding the material underneath the two side seams in a forward position. The belt is then secured in front and the keepers adjusted so that each is an inch (about a thumb’s width) from the edge of the buckle.
Keepers should be slightly “pinched” in the rear to ensure they stay in place as the wearer performs necessary movements during the ceremony.
