The 367th Engineer Battalion was originally con-stituted in the Army of the United States as the 367th Engineer Combat Battalion on 19 October 1944 and activated on the last day of 1994. It would go on to take part in two World War II campaigns (Rhineland, Central Europe) before being inactivated on 28 October 1945.
Allotted to the Organized Reserves on 22 October 1946, the Battalion has remained a Reserve unit ever since. It was given its current designation as the 367th Engineer Battalion on 27 April 1959 and activated the following month with its Headquarters at Fort Snelling, Minnesota; its HQ would remain there until its location was changed to its current home of St. Cloud, Minnesota. The Battalion has been ordered into active military service on at least two occasions, first in 2004 and then in 2010, since the launch of the Global War on Terrorism, earning a Meritorious Unit Commendation for its service during each callup. As of Summer 2023, the 367th Engineer Battalion is assigned to the 301st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, 416th Theater Engineer Command, United States Army Reserve.
"Citizen, Soldier, United," the Battalion motto, encapsulates the nature of the citizen-soldiers who stand ready to serve our nation whenever they are called.

Also known as a unit crest or DUI, a Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.
