According to Army Regulation 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia, all personnel are allowed to wear bib-type branch scarves with their utility and service uniforms, but only if they have been prescribed by their local commanders for ceremonial occasion. Branch scarves are manufactured in the color (or first-named color) of each of the Army’s branches. The Army Finance Corps branch colors, approved in 1920, are Silver Gray and Golden Yellow; Department of the Army Pamphlet 670-1 specifies Silver Gray as the color to be used for the Corps’ branch scarf.
