KELLY GREEN SHOULDER CORD WITH SILVER TIP

Silver- and brass-tipped shoulder cords are worn by battalion staff members of Air Force and Navy Junior ROTC organizations, but color designations will vary by individual flight or unit.

Kelly-Green shoulder cords are specifically authorized by the Civil Air Patrol for wear by the primary members of the Cadet Advisory Council of an individual CAP group. Cadet Advisory Council representatives advise group Commanders on how cadet programs might be improved, developing their leadership and communication skills in the process.

Although shoulder cords are worn by Civil Air Patrol cadets only on the USAF Class A and B service uniforms, they may be worn at all times in those uniforms. Other CAP regulations specify that shoulder cords are worn aligned along the left shoulder seam and that only one cord may be worn at a time.
