This stylish satin silver buckle is mounted with a colorful version of the Coast Guard Auxiliary emblem—a gold Coast Guard shield inside a blue disc inscribed with the service name, superimposed on two anchors crossed at a 45-degree angle.
Unlike the Coast Guard, which specifies what amounts to right- and left-handed versions of authorized buckles for its male and female personnel, the Auxiliary manual just calls for a silver buckle and tip that can be plain or display the Auxiliary emblem.
Men serving in the CG Auxiliary can wear this stylish beltbuckle with the Service Dress Blue (Bravo), Service Dress White, Tropical Blue (Long), and Undress Blue—Winter ). Women Auxiliarists may wear this buckle type on the Women’s Service Dress Blue (Bravo) and the women’s Winter Dress Blue.
Its wear is also authorized on the non-gender-specific Hot Weather uniform.
