Public Information Chief Warrant Officers wear shoul-der borders displaying their rank, specialty, and gold Coast Guard emblem on white Service and Dress uniforms, in contrast with the sleeve stripes and insignia worn on blue Coast Guard uniforms. Shoulder boards are also prescribed for wear on shirts, overblouses, sweaters, Bridge Coats, and legacy Reefer Coats.
Hard boards have a hasp that is inserted through the shoulder loops of white Dress and Service jackets and coats and secured with a snap-button closure at the narrow end; their wear is also prescribed for Bridge Coats (with loops) and discontinued (but still authorized for wear ifin good condition) Reefer Coats.
Enhanced shoulder boards are secured by sliding an epaulette through an open-ended elastic tube attached to their bottoms. They are worn on short- and long-sleeve Light Blue shirts and women’s overblouses, sweaters (Wooly-Pully and Cardigan), and Bridge Coats manufactured with epaulettes.
Use the selection boxes to the right to specify the appropriate size and style of the shoulder board you need. Note: Both male and female CWOs may choose the regular (Large) or 3/4-scale (small) size of either board style in order to achieve the best appearance.
