Ceremonial silver single-loop aiguillettes with the “wing and star” emblem (Hap Arnold star) are worn by Officers and Enlisted personnel serving in the United States Air Force Honor Guard, Installation and Base Honor Guards, Color Guard, Drill Teams, and Military Funeral Details, as well as by Arlington National Cemetery Chaplains, General Officer Aides, and Enlisted Aides. Aiguillettes worn by Enlisted personnel have a closed-end design, while Officers wear open-end aiguillettes. Guidance on the wearing of aiguillettes varies depending upon duty position, uniform, and rank.
