Worn with the Service Khaki Uniform for male Officers and Chief Petty Officers (CPOs) and the Service Uniform for Junior Enlisted Sailors (E1 to E6), the Service Khaki Shirt is short-sleeved shirt with two breast pockets, button flaps, and a collar that is worn open to form a V-neck.
Per Navy Uniform Regulations, it is manufactured with two types of fabric: a 75/25 polyester-wool blend (authorized for all Officers, CPOs, and Junior Enlisted) and a 100% polyester CNT (Officers and Chief Petty Officers only). The fabric of the uniform’s Shirt and Trousers/Slacks must match, i.e., CNT with CNT and polyester-wool blend with polyester-wool blend. The Service Khaki Shirt is to be tucked into the Service Trousers when it is worn, with all buttons buttoned.
