Activated 25 June 1965 in Germany, the 15th Military Police Brigade has the distinction of being the first Military Police Brigade ever activated by the United States Army. Deployed in support of the Vietnam War, the Brigade took part in ten campaigns and was honored with a Meritorious Unit Commendation from the Army and a Cross of Gallantry with Palm from the Republic of Vietnam. Returning to Germany after the way, the Brigade was inactivated in 1976 and did not return to active duty again until 2010, when the Army Corrections Brigade was reflagged as the 15th Military Police Brigade, which is stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
The motto “DUTY JUSTICE LOYALTY” inscribed on a scroll forms the bedrock of the 15th Military Police Brigade’s Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI), also called a unit crest, which was approved on 26 January 1968 (redesignated effective 2 October 2010 for the 15th United States Army Military Police Brigade). Green and yellow are the official branch colors for the Military Police, and the three-pronged pike in the center of the insignia recalls the Provosts who wielded them in the Middle Ages; its three points are also an allusion to the Brigade’s missions of Staff Planning, Command, and Supervising Military Police Operations during war and peace.

Distinctive Unit Insignias are worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. Current regulations do not permit the DUI to be worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.
More guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1, Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and "Garrison Cap," respectively. You can Learn more about the 15th United States Army Military Police Brigade and add the Brigade’s
