A unit in the Army Reserve’s 364th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), the 191st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion was activated on 9 August 2007 and mobilized on 26 February 2008. It is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
From May 2012 to April 2013, the Battalion was deployed to Kuwait and tasked with ensuring that all items being removed from Iraq and other areas associated with Operation Enduring Freedom were properly tracked and returned to the Army Supply Chain. In 2019, the Battalion was assigned the job of providing sustainment support to rotational units in Poland, Scandinavia, and the Baltic State, training other Combat Sustainment Support units while carrying out the mission.
The 191st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion unit crest, officially called a Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI), was approved in 2008. It features a blue field hat represents the Great Salt Lake in their home area of Salt Lake City, with a bee serving as an allusion to Utah’s nickname as the “Beehive State.” The lion rampant holds a key indicating the unit’s designation in Support, and two crossed swords reflect the military nature of the unit’s mission. “Enhanced Logistics Support” is the unit motto.

The Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.
Full guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1,
Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e),
"Beret" and
"Garrison Cap," respectively.
