The 329th Support Battalion Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI), commonly called a “unit crest,” was originally approved for the 329th Quartermaster Battalion on 19 November 1963. It has undergone three redesignations since that time, including once (September 1996) to revert back to the 329th Quartermaster Battalion; the other two were for the 329th Supply and Service Battalion (7 January 1969) and for its current designation for the 329th Support Battalion (September 2006).
Gold (yellow), blue, and red seen in the insignia are taken from the wheel at the center of the Quartermaster Corps Seal. The shield portion of the insignia is divided into two sections as an allusion to World War II, the period when the unit from which the Battalion descended was established. In the red area, the image of a shining sun is taken from the national flag of the Republic of the Philippines.
The pattern above it, called a “vair” (somehow related to animal fur!), simulates the appearance of waves in a fashion similar to that of the Coat of Arms of the city of Manila, which is an allusion to the island of Luzon where the Battalion’s ancestral unit was awarded the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation. “Honor Through Service” is the unit motto. Though not officially redesignated per The Institute of Heraldry Web Site, this insignia is now worn by members of the 329th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB).

Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia."The 329th CSSB is headquartered in Parsons, Kansas, with three subordinate Companies based in Wichita and Independence. The Battalion is assigned to the 89th Sustainment Brigade, 451st Sustainment Command, which is a major subordinate command of the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Reserve.
