A subordinate unit of the Army Reserve’s 807th Medical Command (Deployment) and headquartered in Independence, Missouri, the 139th Medical Brigade commands two Comba Support Hospital (325th and 349th) and a Multifunctional Medical Battalion. Its motto is "Valor And Worth."
Approved on 13 January 2014, the 139th Medical Brigade Shoulder Sleeve Insignia—frequently referred to as a “unit patch” or simply “patch—is crafted exclusively with maroon and white, colors of the Army Medical Department since October 1916. The overall design is a cross potent, also known as a crutch cross; it is emblematic of the brigade, but is also found in the heraldry of many medical units in the Army. A star in the middle is a symbol of the Brigade’s command authority and its ability to exercise supervision and control over units attached or assigned to it.
The insignia was previously worn by the 139th Medical Group.
