Commonly referred to as a unit patch or shoulder patch, the Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) of the 201st Regional Support Group was approved on 1 July 2016. Its diamond shape suggests strength and wisdom. The interior features a yellow background with a red stripe recalling the Logistics aspect of Group’s lineage.
Superimposed on the stripe is an upright sword, an image commonly used in military heraldry to indicate military readiness and a swift-response capability. The sword stands between a pair of laurel branches, a symbol of the group’s high standards, noteworthy achievements, and its commitment to excellence.
The black border denotes the Homeland Defense mission embraced by the State of Georgia.
