Also known as a unit crest or DUI, a Distinctive Unit Insignia is worn by all Soldiers (except General Officers) in units that have been authorized to be issued the device. It is worn centered on the shoulder loops of the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) and the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU, Enlisted only) with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. DUIs are not worn on the Dress variations of either uniform, however.
Enlisted personnel wear the insignia centered on a shoulder loop by placing it an equal distance from the outside shoulder seam to the outside edge of the shoulder-loop button. Officers (except Generals) wearing grade insignia on the shoulder loops center the DUI by placing it an equal distance between the inside edge of the grade insignia and the outside edge of the button.
More guidance on wear of the DUI is found in DA Pamphlet 670-1, Section 21-22, "Distinctive unit insignia" and 21–3(d) and (e), "Beret" and
"Garrison Cap," respectively.

The Distinctive Unit Insignia of the 210th Regional Support Group was originally authorized for the 210th Support Group. “Vigilantes De La Libertad,” the unit motto emblazoned on a scroll at the bottom of the DUI, is Spanish for “Vigilant Of Freedom.”
A crossed sword and key, take from the branch insignia of the Quartermaster Corps, is a symbol of support and reflects the Group’s assignment. In the shield’s center is a morion, a steel helmet made famous by Spanish soldiers and explorers but also worn by other European troops in the 16th and 17th centuries which reflects the Spanish influence on the heritage of the island of Puerto Rico where the Group is based. Superimposed on the morion is an image of a garita (sentry box) of the Castillo San Felipe del Morro, also known as El Morro, a citadel in San Juan. The blue area with wavy top denotes the seas surrounding the island of Puerto Rico, and the star is taken from the Puerto Rican flag.
As of Autumnn 2023, the 210th Regional Support Group is a United States Army Reserve Unit headquartered in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico. Part of 1st Mission Support Command, the Group comprises the 35th Signal Battalion, the 77th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, and the 448th Engineer Battalion.
