The 302nd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, or unit patch, was originally approved on 16 September 2008 for the Brigade’s predecessor, the 302d Combat Support Brigade (Maneuver Enhancement), which had been created in April 2006. The description was amended to correct the unit designation following the establishment of the 302nd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade on 1 February 2008.
A double-sided fasces is the focal point of the insignia; in tandem with the color green, it symbolizes the Brigade’s Military Police element and its capabilities. The red field represents the Engineer component in the Brigade (red and white are Corps of Engineers branch colors), while the middle field of blue signifies Chemical Corps units.
A U.S. Army Reserve unit, the 302nd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade is headquartered at Chicopee, Massachusetts. It is a subordinate unit of the 412th Theater Engineer Command. Its unit motto, “BELLUM VERSO CUMULAVI,” is Latin for “Combat Maneuver Enhancement.”
