The 303rd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade was acti-vated on 22 January 2011 at Fort Shafter Flat by the 9th Mission Support Command, along with its Headquarters and Headquarters Company and a subordinate unit, the 829th Signal Support Company. Less than eight months later, the 303rd MEB—just the third MEB to be activated in the Army Reserve—hosted the Reserve’s first-ever Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Academy.
Maneuver Enhancement Brigades are multifunctional command-and-control headquarters that provide area, maneuver, and stability support operations and conduct consequence management to ensure freedom of action, mobility, and protection to maneuver units at the division-level and above
