Shoulder Sleeve Insignia, or unit patches, are available as full-color patches (for wear on the now-discontinued Class “A” Army Green Service uniform) or as subdued ACU (Army Combat Uniform Patches). Two types of subdued ACU patches are offered: the OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) is for ACUs and other utility uniforms issued after July 2015, while the UCP patch is designed for wear on ACUs manufactured using the Universal Camouflage Pattern. Uniforms made with the UCP have a wear-out date of 30 September 2019.

The 347th Regional Support Group’s lineage dates back to 1959 and the organization of the 34th Division Support Command on 22 February 1959, which would undergo several redesignations and reorganizations over the course of the next four-and-a-half decades. On 2 December 2006, the 34th was redesignated as the 347th Support Group, which would subsequently be redesignated as a Regional Support Group.
A compass rose is the focal image of the 347th Regional Support Group’s Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (the same insignia is used on the Group’s Combat Service ID Badge for the Army Service Uniform), representing the unit’s command and control functions. It is centered on a shield that is arced at the bottom and top and divided into six distinct areas. They represent the Group’s primary mission areas: internal terrain, administrative functions, logical support, base operations, movement control, and provision and management of security.
