The 410th Support Brigade Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved for wear on 16 June 2007. It shares the same base design as other Support Brigades established in the early to mid-2000s with numerical designations starting with the 401st, namely a red-white-blue field denoting Army Materiel Command as the unit’s parent command; a gold border symbolizing excellence and high ideals; and an upright sword reflecting either commitment to supporting Soldiers in operational areas and constant readiness or the protection for an Area of Responsibility—in this case, the Homeland.
A scarlet arrowhead under the tip of the sword suggest the letter A and recalls the Americas, both North and South. Five stars in chief (upper area) represent the 5th Army, and six stars in base are for the Sixth Army; together, they add up to eleven and serve to commemorate the attacks of September 11, since the unit was formed largely in response to the Global War on Terrorism.
This insignia was canceled on 16 September 2010 by a G-1 Directive from the Headquarters, Department of the Army.
