The 780th Military Intelligence Brigade Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 6 November 2013. A shield-style design denotes a mission of protection; a background inside the shield consisting of a black-and-white grid suggest a link to U.S. Cyber Command and Army Cyber Command. On top of the shield is a disc divided vertically into oriental blue and silver gray halves, the branch of Military Intelligence; the division of the disc also alludes the day-and-night mission of the brigade to protect cyberspace from enemy intrusion while enabling its use for our military. This mission is summed up in the motto UBIQUE ET SEMPER IN PUGNA, Lain for Everywhere And Always…In The Fight.”
Superimposed on the disc is a golden key atop a crossed lightning flash and an arrow. The arrow stands for readiness, the lightning flash indicates swiftness of action, and the symbolizes knowledge and truth. Beneath them are five stars that represent the five branches of the Armed Forces of the United States and thus the unit’s support for Joint Forces and operations.
