The 95th Civil Affairs Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 15 August 2006, just over a month after it had received its current designation after being redesignated from the 95th Civil Affairs Group. Aside from the scarlet and gold flame, the entire insignia is rendered in the Civil Affairs branch colors of purple and white. A crossed quill and point-down sword symbolizes the Civil Affairs duties in a post-war environment, including transitioning to non-combat status. The flame is take from the torch found on the branch insignia of the Civil Affairs Corps and represents enlightenment and guidance.
The flame also recalls the flames of war and is a reminder that war must eventually conclude in peace and that it is a peace can be defended and is self-promoting. Three white stars signify the three campaigns (First UN Counteroffensive; CCF Spring Offensive; UN Summer-Fall Offensive) in which the Brigade participated during the Korean War while designated as the 95th Military Government Group.
