Worn with both the male Army Service Uniform and male Army Dress Uniform, the U.S. Army Enlisted Male Dress Blue Coat is single-breasted and extends past the crotch, with peak lapels and four front-panel buttons. It is manufactured with a slight draped effect in the front and back and is fitted slightly at the waist area in order to conform to body shape without tightness or the creation of a prominent flare.
Unlike the recently approved (2018, available in 2020) male Army Green Service Uniform coat, the Army blue coat is manufactured in Officer and Enlisted versions. The Enlisted version includes shoulder loops that are 2.5 inches wide at the outsider shoulder edge and 1.5 inches wide at the inside collar edges. Gold-colored nylon or rayon cord edge braid with a width of 1/8th of an inch is piped around the entire loop.
Coats for Enlisted personnel are also differentiated from Officers’ coats with a 1/8-inch soutache braid of gold-colored rayon or nylon on each sleeve.
Our Army Enlisted Male Dress Blue Coast is manufactured to meet or surpass all U.S. Army specification. Because virtually all of our customers will need to alter the sleeves of their coats, we manufacture them with longer sleeves that are unfinished. This guarantees not only that the sleeve will be hemmed at the proper length for each customer, but also that the sleeve braid is perfectly positioned. However, our sleeve alteration services for sewing on chevrons, service stripes, and overseas bars also includes hemming of sleeves since regulations specify the location of service stripes/overseas bars relative to the end of the sleeve.
We also offer an insignia mounting service for ribbons and medals. All these options along with more detailed information will be presented to you after you add the coat to your shopping cart.
