Created through the reorganization and redesignation of the 33rd Area Support Group in February 2006, the 108th Sustainment Brigade or one or more of its subordinate elements have been deployed overseas on numerous occasions to support the War on Terrorism, including at least two assignments in Iraq (2008, 2018), one in Kuwait (2014) and one in Afghanistan. The vital importance of the role played by the 108th Sustainment Brigade in providing support for Communication, Transportation, Medical, and Maintenance, well as delivering Logistics Sustainment and Personnel Accountability, is summed up in the unit motto, “SINE QUA NON,” the Latin phrase describing a thing or condition absolutely essential for something else to exist.
