The design of the 200th Military Police Command Combat Service ID Badge (CSIB) is taken from the Command’s Shoulder Sleeve Insignia-Military Operations in Hostile Conditions insignia (SSI-MOHC), which was approved with an effective date of 16 April 2008.
Green and yellow, the dominant colors of the insignia, are the branch colors of the Military Police. The five sides of the shield-shaped insignia point to the five types of Military Police operations: Area Security, Maneuver and Mobility, Law and Order, Internment and Resettlement, and Police Intelligence. A pair of crossed pikes, weapons used by guards centuries ago, symbolize strength, cooperation, and protection.
A gridlined globe is an allusion to the operational sphere of the organization, as well as its overall capabilities and mission. A scale of justice with an upright sword at its center is a reminder of the dual nature of the unit, namely its military task of armed-security duties and its assignment to uphold the law.
