The Combat Service ID Badge (CSIB) for the 207th Military Intelligence Brigade is a metal facsimile of the Brigade’s full-color Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) originally worn on the Army Green Uniform and now authorized for the Army Green Service Uniform, or AGSU (subdued versions of the SSI are available in the current Operational Camouflage Pattern and the now-defunct Universal Camouflage Pattern). The CSIB is authorized for war on the blue Army Service Uniform, as well as on Mess and Evening Mess uniforms. The 207th Military Intelligence Brigade was formed to address significantly increased threats from extremist groups such as Al Shabaab in Somalia, Boko Haram in Central Africa, and Islamic State in Northern Africa. As a Theater-level organization, the Brigade focuses solely on African “problem sets” during its intelligence collection and exploitation designed to disrupt transnational and transregional threats. It shares an installation with U.S. Army Africa.
“See Strike Know” is the Brigade motto.
