Approved on 24 January 2013, the 307th Medical Brigade Combat Service ID Badge, or CSIB, is comprised of five distinct elements: a block-style letter “O,” a trefoil, a blue anchor, a maroon cross, and a white field. The letter “O” and the trefoil, which resembles a buckeye seed, represent the state of Ohio (“Buckeye State”). The anchor is taken from the coat of Arms of the city of Columbus and is an allusion to the city and the associated Great Lakes area around it; this region is home of the organization and its command. A maroon cross is in the color of the Army Medical Department, and has been a longtime symbol for assistance and aid.
