Combat Service ID Badges (CSIBs) feature insignias are adapted from the color version of a unit’s Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and were introduced as the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU) equivalent of the patches worn on the Army Green Uniform that was discontinued in 2015. The metal pin-on CSIBs are worn on the right side of the Army Service/Dress Combat Service ID Badges (CSIBs) feature insignias adapted from the color version of a unit’s Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and were introduced as a sort of replacement for the discontinued color patches worn on the old Class A Green Service uniform. The metal pin-on CSIBs are worn on the right side of the Army Service/Dress uniform coat and Mess/Evening Mess jackets. While regulations call for miniature ID badges to be worn on the Mess/Evening mess jackets, an exception is made for the CSIB because of its importance and the lack of a manufacturer of a miniature version. See the January 2021 edition of DA 670-1, Section 22-17 (
pp. 331 through
333) for full wear guidance on the CSIB.
For the 335th Signal Command Theater, the primary mission A-to-Z implementation of the Global Information Grid, from planning and engineering to installation, defense, and maintenance. Since its deployment to Camp Doha and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait in the aftermath of the September 11 2001 attacks, the Command has been awarded the Global War on Terror Campaign decoration and a Meritorious Unit Commendation for its exceptional performance between July 2005 and July 2006.
Additionally, the Command has logged significant service hours in the Homeland by participating in the joint civilian training exercise Red Dragon with its subordinate CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) units. The exercise helps all units involved perfect their response should a CBRN event ever occur, another example of how the Brigade’s “Ready Lightning” mindset and motto translate to real-world success.
