The 336th Finance Center Combat Service ID Badge is adapted from the color version of the unit’s Shoulder Sleeve Sleeve Insignia approved in June 2008 but subsequently cancelled in December of the same year. Combat Service ID Badges, or CSIBs, are worn on the wearer’s right side of the Army Service/Dress uniform coat and Mess/Evening Mess jacket. Only one CSIB may be worn at a time regardless of how many a Soldier may have been authorized. Full info on CSIB wear is contained in Section 22-17 (
pp. 331 through
333) of the January 2021 edition of Department of the Army Pamphlet 670-1.
Before its demobilization at some point in the late 2000s, the 336th Finance Center was a fixture in the Operation Brightstar military exercise held every other year in Egypt, providing all travel Reimbursements, military pay, and support for necessary vendors. It also conducted training exercises and assisted in support of humanitarian relief efforts, such as in the wake of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina, proving that its “Cajun Gold” motto applied to far more than simply its fiduciary functions.
