U.S. ARMY 364TH EXPEDITIONARY SUSTAINMENT COMMAND COMBAT SERVICE ID BADGE (CSIB)

Worn on the right side of the Army Service/Dress and Mess/Evening Mess uniforms, the Combat Service ID Badge was created to take the place of the full-color Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) worn on the Class A/B Army Green Uniform after that uniform was phased out in 2015 (but which was reauthorized for wear on the Army Green Service Uniform that was approved in November 2018). As a result, almost all Combat Service ID Badges, including the CSIB of the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, are more or less identical to the unit's Shoulder Sleeve Insignia; you can read about the symbolism of the imagery used for this insignia by clicking the link for the Command's SSI below.

The 364th Expeditionary Command was originally constituted in the Army Reserve as HQ and HQ Company, 364th General Support Group on 26 December 1965 and was activated on 31 January 1966 in New York, New York. Exactly two years later, the 364th relocated to Fort Totten, named after a former Chief Engineer of the Army, then in 1972 was redesignated the 364th Support Group.

Following an almost 14-year period of inactivation that began in 1994, the was redesignated a Sustainment Command in 2007 and activated two years later in 2009 at Seattle, Washington. It was relocated to Marysville, Washington in June 2011 and called into active service a month later. Released from active service in August 2012, the Command returned to reserve status. As of 2018, it has three brigade-level subordinate units: the 652nd and 654th Regional Support Groups and the 96th Sustainment Brigade.
