The 734th Regional Support Group Combat Service Identification Badge, or CSIB, is a pin-on metal version of the color Shoulder Sleeve Insignia approved for wear in 2012. Combat Service ID Badges are worn on the right front of the Army Service/Dress Uniform coat and Mess/Evening Mess jacket with up to one other ID badge beside it. Because CSIBs are not manufactured in the miniature size required for Mess/Evening Mess insignias and badges, the Army permits the standard size to be worn on those uniforms even if mixed with miniature versions of other ID badges. Full guidance on CSIB wear is found in Department of the Army Pamphlet 670-1, Section 22-17 (
pp. 331 through
333).
In addition to its Headquarters and Headquarters Company, the 734th Regional Support Group comprises two Combat Sustainment Support Battalions, the 185th and 1034th, that are also based at Johnston, Iowa. Units reporting indirectly to the Group include the 186th Military Police Company, 1133rd and 2168th Transportation Companies, the 3654th Ordnance Company, and the 135th Public Affairs Detachment.
