The Combat Service ID Badge of the 92nd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade was redesignated for the 92nd Military Police Brigade in memorandum AAMH-IHS (840-10A) issued by The Institute of Heraldry on 9 August 2016. It marked the third time that the insignia, which had been originally approved for the 92nd Infantry Brigade, had been redesignated to reflect the unit’s changing status. This did not take place when the unit was redesignated from an Infantry Brigade to the 92nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, most likely because this designation was used for only two or three years before the unit became the 92nd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in 2008.
Combat Service ID Badges almost always employ the same insignia as used the full-color version of an organization’s unit patch, or Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. You can read about the symbolism and heraldic items found on the 92nd Military Police Brigade CSIB by visiting our page for the Brigade's Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. You may also wish to check out our page devoted to the 92nd Military Police Brigade Distinctive Unit Insignia, which contains the unit motto of “A Lo Que Vinimos,” which translates roughly as “What We Came For.”
