The 95th Civil Affairs Brigade Combat Service ID Badge, or CSIB, is taken directly from the color version of the 95th CAB unit patch, which was formerly worn on the Class A Army Green Service Uniform. It is worn on the right side of the uniform, and the wearer has the option of moving other lower-precedence badges to the left side so that the CSIB has more prominence.
A crossed sword and squill reflect the unit’s capabilities to promulgate laws and directives to ensure post-combat peace. A red flame indicates both enlightenment and the flames of war that Civil Affairs Brigades must master; three five-pointed stars reflect the unit’s service in three Korean War Campaigns. The Airline tab is built into the badge and reflects the units’ inclusion in the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne).
