The Combat Service ID Badge (CSIB) for the 25th Military Police Brigade-Hawaii is worn on the wearer’s right side of Service/Dress and Mess/Evening Mess uniforms in lieu of a Shoulder Sleeve Insignia/Former Wartime Service insignia. It may not be worn on utility or combat uniforms. It is fifth in precedence of identification badges, and badges in lower precedence may be moved to the wearer’s left so that the CSIB may have more prominence.
The U.S. Army Law Enforcement Command (Provisional), Hawaii was created on 1 December 1988, consolidating all of the Army’s Military Police units and resources under one command. Further reorganization of the Army units on the island took place four years later, when U.S. Army Hawaii was re-established; it comprised the 25th Infantry Division, 45th Corps Support Group (Forward), U.S. Army Support Command-Hawaii (USASCH), and the U.S. Army Law Enforcement Command (provisional), with the commander of U.S. Army Hawaii/25th ID replacing the commander of USASCH as installation Commander.
USASCH was redesignated U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii (USAG-HI) in January 1994, in 1998 the U.S. Army Law Enforcement Command, Hawaii was re-flagged as the U.S. Army Military Police Brigade-Hawaii (USAMPB-HII), but remained assigned to the 25th ID. Eight years later, USAMB-HI was inactivated following the assignment of the 8th Military Police Brigade to Hawaii under 8th Theater Sustainment Command.
