A standard issue clothing item, the Male Army Green Short-Sleeved Shirt is primarily worn as part of the Class A and Class B Green Army Uniform that served as the Army’s primary Service Uniform from 1954 to 2015. Besides being worn under the Class A Coat, it is also authorized for wear with the black unisex Pullover sweater, Cardigan sweaters, and the windbreaker. Some of the shirt’s specifications and features include:
- Dress-type shirt, Army Green Shade 415
- Mil-Spec certified 65/35 polycotton blend
- Shoulder loops for slip-on insignia
- Two pleated pockets with button-down flaps
- Seven-button front
- Pre-cured durable press
While a tie is required for the Class A uniform when either the Short- or Long-Sleeved Shirts are worn, it is optional when the Short-Sleeved Shirt is worn as an outer garment as part of the Class B uniform. Ties are also optional with the shirt when it is worn with Pullover or Cardigan Sweaters, but if a tie is worn with them then the shirt collars are worn inside the sweater. Shirts collars must be worn outside the Pullover sweater when no tie is worn, but Soldiers have the option of wearing them inside or outside the Cardigan when not wearing a tie.
Note: Shirt is sold alone. Shoulder marks or other accessories or insignia are displayed only for illustrative purposes.
