U.S. ARMY BLACK PRE-TIED TIE

Pre-tied neckties are sometimes looked down upon by fashionistas, but setting snobbery aside the truth is that they can be a godsend for those constantly on the go or who lack the manual dexterity to properly tie a tie in the normal manner. What’s more, they also tend to wrinkle less than traditional ties because they are not being pulled and tugged at as they’re being put on and removed.

Our pre-tied four-in-hand tie is worn with the male Army Service Uniform, the Class B Army Service Uniform, and the Army Dress Uniform before retreat, i.e., when the dress code is “military informal.” The four-in-hand tie is a required component of the ASU, when either short- or long-sleeved shirts are worn with the ASU jacket, and when the long-sleeved shirt is worn without the ASU jacket. It’s optional when the short-sleeved shirt is worn with the Class B uniform and when the short- or long-sleeved shirt is worn with the black pullover (“Wooly Pully”) or cardigan sweater.
