U.S. ARMY OPEN-FACE BELT BUCKLE FOR AGSU WEB WAIST BELT

According to Department of the Army Pamphlet 670-1, only an open-face buckle may be worn with the Heritage Walnut 567 waist web belt authorized for wear with the Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU). 

Manufactured from cotton, the web belt is worn so the end with the oxidized brass tip passes through the buckle but extends no further than one inch past the first pant loop.

In spite of being designed as a unisex clothing bag issue item, wear guidance for the belt is different for male and female Soldiers.

Female Soldiers wear the belt so the tipped end passes through the buckle to the wearer’s right, while male Soldiers orient the belt so the tip goes through the buckle to the wearer’s right.
