Prescribed for wear at formal evening occasions at which civilians would wear black tie clothing, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Women’s Dinner Dress White Uniform (DDWJ) is identical to the Coast Guard (and Navy) uniform of the same name except with Auxiliary-specific insignia, service devices, and miniature medals.
Unlike the sleeve striping and devices used to denote Auxiliary assignment or position on Dinner Dress Blue Jacket Uniform Coats, hard shoulder boards with the same stripes and devices are attached to shoulder loops on the Dinner Dress White Jacket; the loops are included in the Jacket’s price, but are shipped unattached (we do offer a service to have them sewn on prior to shipping when you add the Jacket to your shopping cart). The gold buttons used on the USCG and USN DDWJ uniforms are replaced with silver ones embossed with the Coast Guard Auxiliary emblem; similarly, the gold cummerbund worn by USN and USCG personnel with the DDWJ is exchanged for a silver one with the Auxiliary uniform.
