Designed to be worn with both the white and black web belt worn on the overwhelming majority of authorized Coast Guard Auxiliary uniforms, this silver tip features a satin finish created by sandblasting brass before applying silver plating. The result is a distinct, non-shiny matte finish that does not unduly draw attention to itself.
Attaching the tip is as simple as giving a hard squeeze—just insert the end of the web belt into the open end and firmly close it, setting the teeth into the webbing and creating a secure attachment. Now you can insert the belt tip through the quick-cinch buckle and secure it in place when the tip is properly positioned according to regulations.
Satin silver is easy to maintain by cleaning it with warm, soapy water and drying it with a light touch. Should it begin to tarnish and it requires some type of silver cleaner, we recommend a spray-on silver polish; apply it, let it dry, then wipe the polish off while applying minimal pressure (use a warm damp cloth if necessary).
