All Female Officers with a rank of Lieutenant Commander (O-4) or higher, as well as the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard and all Enlisted Female Guardsmen serving as
Gold Badge Command Master Chiefs, are required to own the Dinner Dress Blue Jacket Uniform (DDBJ). This cold-weather uniform is prescribed for wear at official evening functions and at any formal event (weddings, dances, receptions, presentations, etc.) at which civilians would wear black-tie attire.
The Coast Guard DDBJ features the same design as the Navy uniform of the same name, with Coast Guard insignia (including buttons) replacing the Navy accouterments. The bolero-style jacket is crafted from a 55/45 polywool blend and features three 23-ligne gold Coast Guard arrayed vertically on each side of the front of the jacket; a pair of 28-ligne gold buttons with a link-chain closure is an optional choice.
We have placed all the components of the Female Officer DDBJ on one page to simplify the process of assembling a DDBJ from scratch, but if we are out of stock of any item it will not be displayed in order to prevent possible confusion over item availability.
