COAST GUARD FINANCE & SUPPLY CWO SLEEVE DEVICE

Designed for wear on both sleeves of the Service Dress Blue (SDB) coat, this sleeve device for Finance & Supply Chief Warrant Officers combines the specialty’s mark of a sprig of three oak leaves with the gold Coast Guard shield that’s worn 1/4-inch above the rank stripes of both Commissioned and Warrant Officers in the Coast Guard. Both designs are embroidered in gold-colored thread on blue serge fabric that perfectly matches the SDB material.

Prior to 2003, Finance & Supply Chief Warrant Officers wore this insignia not only on the Service Dess Blue Coat, but also on the Dinner Dress Blue Jacket (of the uniform of the same name and the Formal Dress Blue uniform) and even the Dinner Dress White jacket. Today, CWO specialty marks are prohibited from wear on the sleeves of any white uniform, and only enlisted personnel may wear the gold Coast Guard shield on the sleeves of a white uniform.
