A basic component of the Khaki Service Uniform, the Khaki Combination Cap for Flag Officers (O-7 and above) in the United States Maritime Service and Merchant Marine is available manufactured in a Certified Navy Twill or a 75/25 polyester/wool blend to match the fabric types used for the short-sleeve khaki shirt (polycotton khaki shirts were discontinued in the early 2000s). Use the drop-down selection box to the right to make your choice.
A pair of arcs of oak leaves on the left and right sides of the visor, meticulously embroidered with lustrous gold bullion, immediately signal the wearer’s status as a Flag Officer status. Other features include the impressive gold-and-silver cap device, its wreathed laurel distinguishing it from Navy and Coast Guard headgear ornamentation; a gold-lace chin strap; and screw-in retaining buttons with USMS or Merchant Marine insignia (USMS default, Merchant Marine on request).
