30 January 2020 marked the last day that Female Offi-cers and CPOs were authorized to wear this style of Service Dress White Coat: the following day marked the mandatory possession date for the
new Female Service Dress White (SDW) Uniform with a coat a standing collar (Mandarin) that closely resembles the one worn by male personnel.
Manufactured at our production facility in North Carolina, this single-breasted coat is made with authorized Navy fabric and has one welt left breast pocket and four 35-ligne Navy eagle gilt buttons. While still part of the seabag, it was authorized for wear by Female Officers and CPOS with the SDW Uniform and the Full Dress White Uniform.
Note: Our military dress coats and jackets are manufactured and ship with unfinished sleeves longer than most customers would ever need. This is to accommodate various arm lengths and to minimize total alteration costs, since placement of sleeve devices and sleeve stripes or services stripes is predicated on the distance from the sleeve end. We do offer a variety of sleeve alteration services that will be suggested to you when add the coat to your shopping cart should you prefer to have the coat arrive ready to wear.
