Embroidered Airman First Class rank insignia comes in two designs for the Air Force’s two utility uniforms, the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) and the Airman Battle Uniform (ABU). Both designs are manufactured with different attachment methods that are available to choose from in the selection boxes to the right: Sew-on, hook and loop (Rank with Velcro), and slip-on (Gortex loop). Slip-on rank insignia is typically worn on outerwear garments such as the Woodland Gore-Tex Jacket or the Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System coat.
Both Officers and Enlisted personnel wear rank insignia on the chest of the OCP coat (shirt), while Enlisted personnel wear rank insignia on their shoulders and Officers wear it on the collars of the ABU. Customers seeking the sew-on Airman First Class chevrons for the ABU
