Air Force Officers in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel wear shoulder marks with their insignia of grade with the long- and short-sleeve shirts/blouses of the Men's and Women's Service Dress, Blue Service, Semi-Formal Dress, and Maternity uniforms. The Maternity Mess Dress uniform is the only formal dress uniform on which shoulder marks are worn, with the shoulders of the blouse placed under the epaulet so as not to obscure the insignia or shoulder mark. Shoulder marks are also worn by Officers on sweaters (wool pullover and cardigans) and the topcoat.
Use the selection boxes right to customize the Lieutenant shoulder marks to your size and taste. Both our embroidered and bullion insignia meet or exceed Mil-Spec standards and Air Force regulations, but we think you%u2019ll agree the well-defined lines and classic styling of bullion insignia make it more than worth the extra cost.
As a Field-Grade Officer rank (O-5), Lieutenant Colonel shoulder marks feature a silver braid on one end to instantly differentiate them from Company-Grade Officers (O-1 to O-3).
