USAF MAJOR SHOULDER BOARDS FOR MEN'S AND WOMEN'S MESS DRESS

Air Force Majors wear their insignia of rank on shoulder boards with the Men%u2019s and Women%u2019s Formal Dress and Mess Dress uniforms. The boards are attached on the Mess Dress coats with shoulder loops%u2014just unbutton the bottom portion of the board, slide it under the loops with the rank insignia on the outer (shoulder) edge, then button it in place. Boards should be positioned so that the rank insignia is as close to the shoulder seam as possible.

We provide the shoulder loops for securing shoulder boards free with every USAF Mess Dress coat we sell. Customers who purchase the USAF Mess Dress coat will be presented with an option to have the loops sewn into place so the coat ships ready for the boards to be slid into place. We also offer a sleeve-hemming and sleeve-braid sewing service for customers purchasing these coats, but be aware that sleeve braid is sold separately.
