Note: Please be aware that it can take up to 10 days to process the USAF engraved nametag.
Air Force metal name tags (also referred to as “nametag” twenty times in AFI 36-2903, Dress and Personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel and commonly called “name plates”) have long been authorized for wear on the Men’s and Women’s Service Dress Uniform and the Class A Maternity Service Dress Uniform. In 2011, the Air Force implemented the recommendations of the 96th Air Force Uniform Board and authorized wear of the silver name tag with the Informal Uniforms worn by members of the Air Force Honor Guard, Base Honor Guards, the Air Force Band and the various Regional Bands, as well as by personnel serving as Chaplains and Chaplain Assistants, Air Force Recruiters, Fitness Center Staff, and Enlisted Aides. The name tags feature a brushed satin silver finish with block letters in blue enamel.
Regulations specify that only the last name is to be engraved in on Air Force metal name tags worn with any of these uniforms. Use the box to the right to enter the name you wish engraved on the name tag; if you leave this box empty, we will use the last name you provide for billing information. Engraving is done in upper-case (capital) letters unless you request otherwise.
