A single 2-inch-wide silver lace stripe with two 1/2-inch stripes above it, all surmounted by embroidered Coast Guard Auxiliary shield sleeve device containing a blue or silver letter “A”, serves as the sleeve insignia for the National Commodore (NACO), the highest officer in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. In the Navy or Coast Guard, this sleeve-stripe configuration (in gold instead of silver) is worn by three-star Vice Admirals.
Worn with the Service Dress Blue Coat and the Dinner Dress Blue Jacket, the 2-inch lace is attached to each sleeve two inches above the cuff, with the smaller stripes attached 1/4-inch above the preceding stripe and the Auxiliary shield device a quarter-inch above the topmost stripe. Stripes must completely circle the sleeve, with each end terminating at the back seam of the sleeve.
Customers picking up the NACO sleeve lacings set might also wish to add a set or two of the Auxiliary shield devices to their shopping carts at this time. Click here for the
