The construction of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Dinner Dress White Jacket (DDWJ) is identical to the jacket of the same name worn in the United States Coast Guard and Navy. Manufactured at our production facility in North Carolina using 100% Certified Navy Twill and Made-in-USA components, our USCGA DDWJ is 100% Berry Amendment-compliant and meets or exceeds all applicable specifications and standards.
It features narrow, semi-peaked lapels and a back panel that tapers to a point in classic dinner-jacket style. Both front panels have a pair of large silver buttons embossed with the Coast Guard Auxiliary emblem, with closure provided by two smaller linked-chain buttons also carrying the USCGA emblem. Hard shoulder boards displaying the wearer’s current USCGA are attached to the shoulder via shoulder loops; the loops are included in the jacket’s purchase price but are ship unattached unless otherwise specified (see sewing services below).
Note: Our military dress coats and jackets are manufactured with unhemmed sleeves longer than most customers would ever need. This is to accommodate the disparity in our customers’ arm lengths and to ensure there is an abundance of material with which to work during the alteration process.
We do offer a variety of sewing services that will be suggested to you when add the coat to your shopping cart should you prefer to have the coat arrive ready to wear, including an option to have rating badges, service stripes, or shoulder loops (used to attach hard shoulder boards) sewn onto the jacket.
