Shoulder boards with thee half-inch laces and an Auxiliary shield containing a red “A” are authorized for wear with the Service Dress White and Dinner Dress White Jacket uniforms by Auxiliarists appointed to serve as a District Directorate Chief (DDC), Auxiliary Sector Coordinator (ASC), Deputy Director (DIRd), or a Division Chief. Boards are also worn on shirts made with epaulettes when they are worn as a Dress uniform, as well as on the Cardigan and Wooly-Pully sweaters.
Hard shoulder boards feature a hinged hasp that is inserted through the shoulder loops of the Service Dress White coat and the Dinner Dress White jacket and come in Large and Small Sizes (5.5” and 5” long, respectively). Service Dress White uniforms are worn to ceremonies and official functions, while the Dinner Dress White Jacket uniform may be prescribed for wear at a formal evening occasion
The Enhanced shoulder boards worn on shirts and sweaters have an openings made of elastic fabric through which an epaulette is inserted.
